Daylight saving time ends Sunday, November 3rd. Set your clocks back on Saturday night.
Sunday hikes start at 2:30 pm, go approx. 5 miles, last 1 1⁄2 – 2 hrs.
Tuesday hikes start at 11:30 am, go approx. 3 miles, last about 1 hour.
The SPHC walks at a moderate speed of 2.5 -3.5 mph. (17-24 min. mile)
Hikers are expected to maintain that pace. Hikes start on time.

5080 miles have been hiked with the SPHC.

Bry Garcia led the largest hike so far with 28 participants on September 15th at the SPHC annual wiener roast in Como Park.
The hike start with the highest elevation was Judy Nelson’s hike from the Oakdale IHop on January 9th. 1049 feet above sea level.
The point where all the starting points of the hikes would average is near White Bear Ave and Larpenter Ave. (44.9923 N & 93.0227 W)
THE SPHC 2024 HOLIDAY PARTY WILL BE...
Tuesday, December 3rd at Jimmy’s, 3565 LaBore Rd., Vadnais Heights. (Limit of 50 people, first come, first serve) Social hour at 5:30 PM followed by dinner at 6:30. Entrees: Broiled Walleye topped with Lemon Butter Sauce, served with Wild Rice Blend ($35.00) OR Minnesota Harvest Chicken stuffed with Wild Rice Blend, Sausage & Cranberries & topped with a Creamy White Wine Sauce, served with Roasted Baby Reds. ($30.00) Dinner choices include tossed salad, vegetable medley, coffee, rolls & butter, tax and gratuity. Reservation deadline is November 15th, include dinner choice with response.
